5 to go opens two coffee shops within the largest airport in Romania
5 to go inaugurated its first coffee shop within Henri Coanda International Airport, marking a significant step in its visibility and brand awareness. The strategic location, chosen for its high traffic, was made possible through a recent partnership with the City Grill Group, a leader in the Romanian hospitality market and the operator for the two airport locations.
5 to Go at the airport
Currently, there are two 5 to go cafes at the airport: one in the Arrivals terminal and the other in the Departures terminal, right by the baggage check-in counters. Both cafes are open 24/7, catering to the needs of travelers around the clock. The estimated annual turnover for these locations is around €600,000.

“The presence of 5 to go in Henri Coanda airport is an important achievement,” said Radu Savopol, co-founder of 5 to go. “It allows us to keep our customers connected with the brand, to be close to them when they travel, and at the same time to make our services and products known to foreign tourists who have not interacted with 5 to go before. This is just the first step of the partnership with the City Grill group. We will certainly start other large-scale projects together in the coming period.”
With nearly 600 coffee shops already established in Romania, 5 to go continues its upward trend of accelerated business development. This new opening is a crucial part of the brand’s growth strategy for 2024, with increasing traffic in coffee shops being a key focus. The airport itself has a forecast for passenger numbers, having reached 14.6 million visitors in 2023.
