Venditalia (from 6 to 9 June at fieramilanocity), the most important international showcase on the vending industry, opens its gates. Venditalia is organized every two years by Venditalia Servizi and promoted by CONFIDA, the Italian Association of Automatic Distribution. The event will be attended by over 300 exhibitors from 22 countries representing all segments of the industry: from the technologies of vending machines to the variety of food products, distributed within an exhibition area of 14,000 square meters.
THE FIGURES OF THE EVENT AND OF THE INDUSTRY. Among more than 300 exhibitors at Venditalia, 57 come from abroad (including France, Spain, Germany, England, Holland) and as many as 68 are at their first participation. These figures identify the dynamism of the industry. “Automatic distribution – Mr. Massimo Trapletti, CONFIDA’s President, explains – is a “Made in Italy” square: Italian companies that manufacture vending machines, in fact, export on average 70% of their production abroad. But there is more. The internal market is also a leader at the European level. In Italy there are more than 810,000 vending machines installed (while France has 590,000 and Germany 550,000 vending machines installed) and 3,000 management companies that offer a quality and certified service. Vending is an excellent food distribution channel: in 2017 the turnover of the automatic market exceeded the threshold of 1.8 billion euros with 5 billion of consumptions up by + 1.31% compared to the previous year. All this is without considering the market of the portioned (capsules and pods) items that has a turnover of 1.7 billion euros with over 6 billion of capsules and pods sold in a year.”
TECHNOLOGY 4.0 AND ECOSUSTAINABILITY. Venditalia has a natural vocation for innovation. It is the international showcase for the main innovations in the industry. It reflects the new trends and the needs of the market: the new generation of vending machines are increasingly smart thanks to the implementation of IoT technologies. Moreover, it involves connectivity, digital technology, touch screen, mobile payments. The news of a few days ago reports that MISE extended the tax advantage of hyper-depreciation of 250% also to vending machines, making them legally be involved in the “Impresa (Company) 4.0”. In addition to technological evolution, the innovation of vending machines also focuses on eco-sustainability: green logistics, organic food products, zero-kilometer and fair trade.
EVENTS. In addition to the exhibition area, Venditalia hosts conferences, debates, international talk shows and meetings on the hot topics of the industry. It starts on Wednesday, 6 June, with the conference entitled “Iperammortamento e vending 4.0 (Hyper-depreciation and vending 4.0).” On the same day, it will be introduced one of the best-selling products through vending machines: coffee. During the meeting “Il caffè tra qualità e nuovi trend (Coffee between quality and new trends)”, the new trends will be highlighted to satisfy the market of the drink most loved and drunk by Italians. On Thursday, 7 June, we will talk about sustainability in the vending sector. The conference “La sostenibilità nel vending (Sustainability in Vending)” will analyze some virtuous case histories that have been able to apply the concept of social responsibility to the automatic distribution industry. On Friday, 8 June, instead, it will be time to tackle the topic of payments. During the appointment entitled: “Il futuro del vending è senza moneta? (Is the future of vending with no coin?)”, we will talk about new payment systems and the possibility of having vending machines equipped with cashless payment systems.
20 YEARS OF VENDITALIA. The 2018 edition marks an important milestone. In fact, Venditalia turns twenty and, to celebrate this goal, presents an exclusive gala event. A magical evening reserved for the operators of the Vending industry in an evocative location, Spirit de Milan, a historic glassware turned into an “urban area” where the modern “Milanese” style is told: the ideal place where innovation in the world of automatic distribution merge with the tradition of Milanese activity, all this condensed into the title of the evening: “La Bella Vita (The great life)”. Another new feature of the new edition of the fair is the “Venditalia Milano” logo, which expresses the strong international vocation of the event in the Italian economic capital that anticipates the new trends of Italy.
