Russia: An Online Service To Have A Coffee

Coffee Like, a chain of coffee bars, has introduced a new service to the coffee-to-go market in Russia. According to readovka.ru, the coffee shop offers its customers an opportunity – anyone can gift a cup of coffee to a friend, even if the sender does not live in the same city as the recipient.

By entering the company’s site, anyone can order and pay for a coffee treat along with a message, which can be anything from warm greetings to birthday wishes. After a user confirms the order, the recipients get the message informing them where they can get their free drink from a friend. With a brief translation from Russian, the message would say: “Your friend is sending you the warmest greetings! Visit any Coffee Like bar and get your free drink plus a message from your friend!

This service is available from anywhere around the globe, but the coffee can only be received in a city with at least one Coffee Like bar. According to the company’s site, 9041 people have already sent their warm greetings.

Coffee Like is a Russian chain of coffee bars that started in 2013 and sold its first franchise in December of that year. The main concept is based on the idea of mobility and an active lifestyle which means coffee-to-go. Still, as part of the general expansion strategy, the company opened its first full-format coffee shop in March 2017.

Coffee Like is now the largest coffee bar chain in Russia and CIS with plans for expansion into Europe, Asia and USA.
